today i made my last trip out to visit the bees. john had some more comb honey to collect and so i tagged along. i have been inside the shop the past week labeling jars and making boxes for packaging the honey. i have to admit that i was so excited to get outside and near the bees that i did not use duct tape to enclose the opening from my pants and boots. the thought crossed my mind once i had a few bees crawling up my legs but i continued on and ended up with only two souvenir stings for the day.
as silly as this sounds, i am going to miss getting stung.
i must say farewell to this veil of beekeeping i've worn this summer. i hope to wear it again soon!
